It was good to finally get set up at the art show today. I have done this show a few times in the past and it was always a stress, struggling to get enough pieces made to fill a panel and/or a table space, coming up with design ideas, etc. This time went quite effortlessly, and I credit that to learning how to detach from stress, through setting and following a strict schedule of working on the final preparations with no distractions this past week, and enjoying working on my beaded bottles the past two months. All of this has been possible through applying the principals I have learned in these past weeks during my course.
Life is good and getting better =)

It has been a while since I’ve been in the Loscon Art Show. I used to be semi-regular, trying out new mediums and experimenting with new designs in jewelry, beaded bags, doll clothing and gifts such as handmade jewelry boxes, hair picks and costume masks. This time I am bringing bags, masks and my new beaded bottles. It is exciting to be participating again, especially adding my bottles. They have been such a joy to create, I can’t wait to share them with everyone.
Dennis and I will be at the convention all weekend. If we aren’t at the Blood Drive or in a panel, you’ll be able to see me sitting in the lobby, con suite or anywhere the lighting is good and I can bead. Come by and say Hi and see what I’m beading next.

rss-feed
An “RSS Feed” stands for “Real Simple Syndication”. It is a virtual i.v. drip for the latest information from your favorite websites that carry RSS feeds. It came before Twitter (though it probably inspired Twitter’s evolution) and unlike that increasingly popular application, RSS feeds happen automatically, as soon as something is posted to a website. A link to the post is fed out to the RSS subscribers and all the subscribers “feeds” come to one page on their favorite reader. Look for the symbol above on your favorite website and subscribe to keep up on the latest in your hobbies, your political party and your industry, then Facebook and/or Twitter it and keep on top of the Google ranks. Have fun!

Tonight’s video was a joint discussion with my husband Dennis. We each took a portion of our 12 minute discussion on where our Quattro business is and uploaded different parts of the conversation. Please view both and enjoy let us know what you think.

At the Quattro University Pivot Point today, Morgan Westerman touched on the subject of “social bookmarking”. Social Bookmarking explained simply is just a way of making your website’s pages public by putting a link to them on a website where everyone can see them. As Morgan explained, when you enable your blog to be socially bookmarked, it drives it up in the rankings on Google and other search engines. The more people bookmark your webpage, the more Google (and others) believe your page is “popular” and thus ranks you higher in their search engine listings.
Higher means more traffic to your website.
There are many WordPress “Widgets” – free, popular applications that add all these little, colorful bookmarking buttons to your website. When a visitor clicks on one of these buttons, it takes them to their social bookmarking website where they can add the blog page they like. Two examples of these social bookmarking blog widgets are “Add This” and “AddToAny” (the one we use on our QuattroBoosters blog).
Once you get the blog posted, it is so easy to add this little widget to your blog pages, you’ll be amazed at how quickly & smoothly it goes!
These services also let you “brand” your widget with your brand name & colors. Instructions on how can be found when you customize your own widget on their homepage for use on your blog.
Good luck, let us know how that worked for you and of course, please come back to our blog, comment on this article and bookmark it with the social bookmarking websites!

Welcome to the Quattro Boosters Wealth blog. Every week the Quattro for Life phone call will be on one of the four aspects of Wealth, Wellness, Leadership or Legacy. Here is the place to post your comments on the Wealth calls. Share your ideas & inspirations you get from the calls, or share your problems and concerns. Maybe someone else can help you come up with solutions, or share what you’ve learned outside of Quattro. This is the place for ideas and brainstorming.
Here’s an example: Don’t know how to use the internet to expand your business? A web page is just the beginning; you need to draw people to your website. Michelle Price, a Quattro University instructor, is an expert on Social Networking. Most of what we’re doing to advertise this Quattro Boosters website we learned from her. Here are some places you can find Michelle and her education:
