Quattro’s 90-day Challenge – Day 90 – We are through!

Wow, it’s finally Day 90. What a challenge it has been to get to this point without missing a day, but we DID IT!!! Both Dennis and I learned things along the way we didn’t expect we would, and often we weren’t sure where we were going during the journey.

We learned discipline – had to to get the video and blog up every night. We can apply this in future projects and be sure now that it is possible for us to give it our all and see it through, despite the outcome.

We learned perseverence – there were many nights I wanted to say, “screw it” and skip a night. I have to thank my husband Dennis for talking me out of my lethargy and continuing on. He was an inspiration to even just sit back and watch. He got videos up despite relatives going to the hospital, despite getting all his teeth removed and the terrible pain and discomfort he endured up until a week or two ago (yes, he was in some form of pain or another THIS ENTIRE TIME SINCE THE SURGERY) AND despite having a miserable cold after the surgery. I don’t know another human with so much determination to see something through to the end.

I learned flexibility, more creativity than I thought I had (and I thought I had a lot before!) and that you learn more and different things than you set out to when you embark on a self-improvement journey. A lot of people are, to put it bluntly, too chicken, too lazy or make excuses that they are too busy to even start on one. It is those people I pity because they will NEVER BE MORE THAN THEY ARE RIGHT NOW. And really, how lame are those excuses when we only have one shot at life? Think about what you are doing with your life RIGHT NOW. Are you happy? Are you fulfilled? Does your life have meaning and purpose? Mine does and so can yours. The only one holding you back IS YOU.

I said in my YouTube video tonight I would go over my goals here tonight in my blog, but I am going to save that for tomorrow. It’s getting late and this wrap-up is all that is needed to be said tonight about the fact that…

I FINISHED THE 90-DAY CHALLENGE…What is your challenge? What will you do to change your life?

Quattro’s 90-Day Challenge – Day 26 – Interview with an Entrepreneur – Becky Acosta of Blisspoint Creations

Today started early…about 5:15 a.m. to prepare for a trip to Lancaster. After picking up some friends to help with setup at our destination, an arts & crafts show, we hit the road at 7:00 a.m.

I have done this show several years in a row in the past, but this year, with the 90-day challenge, Quattro, my Sensei Ron workshop training and website clients demanding attention, I had no time at all to make new product for it, let alone gather old stock together for my friends to display at their table. It was a hard, painful decision I put off for a long time, but it had to be made. I just couldn’t do it this year.

Being an entrepreneur can be hard, sometimes, and training to be one is no different. In fact, there really is no such thing as “training” to be an entrepreneur because it is a life-long process of learning. Sacrifices are made here and there the entire journey. That is the the price for pursuing our dreams. If we persevere to the end, it is worth it. If we quit before our goals are achieved, we gain nothing.

Quattro’s 90-day Challenge – Day 16 – Making Progress

We are really tired tonight! The week has been wearing on us. We worked so hard yesterday and I stayed up so late, we both slept through the alarm this morning and I had to fly out of here to get to my networking breakfast mixer on time.

When I got home there was no time to take a nap, though I wanted to. Business is picking up…with another new website client onboard, I am now designing THREE NEW WEBSITES for clients and am going on a job bid tomorrow morning for a FOURTH ONE.

I”ve been telling people for a month now that I have enough ’sites to keep me more than busy and yet, somehow, more are coming even though I’m not actively chasing them right now…abundance is starting to come to us and it’s AWESOME!!!

At 1:50 p.m. I had looked at the clock and said, “wow, I’ve gotten so much done and it isn’t even two yet!” It is so rare I say that (usually it’s “CRAP! Where did the time go?!?”) that I was inspired to keep going and make even more headway. Usually on Wednesdays I am still catching up on the week’s work and don’t start to turn the corner until Thursday. Soon my pile of way-overdue projects were being addressed, I sorted the non-priority projects from the more important ones, filed more business cards and by the end of the Quattro webinar tonight, I was done and we were able to go to Dennis’s birthday dinner with a satisfied-that-work-was-getting-caught-up feeling.

90-day Challenge – Day 10 – The Legacy of Causes4Cats

Causes4Cats is an animal rescue shelter in Lebec, California, just outside of Bakersfield. They currently have 200 cats and really need our help.

They carry a special place in our house because it is where my husband and I picked up our two beautiful Maine Coons; Harley and her son, Rhubarb.

mother-and-son-in-box
Rhubarb is the orange and his mother is a gorgeous tortoise-shell.

They brought a tremendous amount of joy into our house after Dennis’s (who lived with us at the time) passed away. They banished the sadness and stress of 7 years of being caregivers and replaced it with the joy only kittens can bring into ones life.

Please support Cause4Cats and read their story at: http://cause4cats.livejournal.com/

Here’s more cuteness for you to enjoy. Please post your own links to your animals…we would love to see them! Oh, and don’t forget to check back when we will be announcing the publishing of a Facebook page for Rhubarb!

Now THIS is RELAXED!

Now THIS is RELAXED!

90-day Challenge – Day 3 – Doing What You Love…Will the Money Come?

This should really be how the all-too-accepted saying goes. Instead of “Do what you love and the money will come”, it should come as a question that makes you stop and think so you can periodically adjust your course in life if it needs it.

How this saying got started is a mystery to me in the first place…it sounds like something that got started back in the 60s by hippies who had too much faith that “doing what they loved” in that radically-changing society was actually a good idea. History shows that stable societies welcome and are better able to support artists than societies who are going through the turmoil of things like presidential assassinations, deteriorating family values, wars and experimenting with mind-altering drugs.

Haven’t you ever heard the even more popular truism of “starving artists”?

What do you think? Talk to us. Tell us whether you believe this popular saying. Popular saying are not always true, but I want to hear your side, too. Please post your comments and let’s get a discussion going.

Legacy

Welcome to the Quattro Boosters Legacy blog.  Every week, the Quattro for Life phone call will be on one of the four aspects of Wealth, Wellness, Leadership or Legacy.  Here is the place to post your comments on the Legacy calls.  Share your ideas and inspirations you get from the calls, or share your problems and concerns.  Maybe someone else can help you come up with solutions, or share what you’ve learned outside of Quattro.  This is the place for ideas and brainstorming.

Here is an example:  One of the things that really impressed me about the Quattro University instructors was that they all have a passion they openly shared.  Wayne Hoff taught the course on business entities, and as dry as that sounds, Wayne has a passion about estate planning.  He shares his story of how his niece and two nephews lost their parents in a car accident and the ensuing legal and financial battle that occurred because their parents had not planned their estate.  If you need advice on estate planning or on forming a corporation that can outlive you (hint: Nevada is your friend), he is a man to contact.  He is an educator and a private consultant.
